The crappy RC helicopter I have is made out entirely of plastic, it looks really cheap but it can take a real beating, I've crashed it so many times and all it's ever done is kind of bounce around a bit before coming to a funny upside down landing, upon inspection everything always turns up a little scratched but otherwise fine.
I always had my eye on those fuel powered nitro RCs but could never find one locally, I later found out that the reason for this is that they are apparently illegal to fly here.
