The problem is, the few really good games in existance has raised everybodies standards. If games would have just always continues to be terrible there'd be plenty to be excited about right now.
Also, did I mention you should all buckle and get Left 4 Dead? It's how Quake 4 should have been, if it were a co-op game with zombies.
