oh, the trick for not having the game crash is to disable the additional randoms of the enemy spawn mod.
its a different feature from the main feature where the mod adds special configurable additional enemies, to the additional enemies it spawns
so using just the base feature of the mod where only vanilla spawns are doubled, tippled, quadrippled, etc. whatever you configure it to
