I just replayed the first Psychonauts to, er, psych myself up for the new one. Besides still holding up visually, I forgot just how much good voice acting there was, along with some great dialog/monolog.
The controls and occasional forced/limited camera viewpoints are pretty wonky, but I found them to be frustrating only on a few occasions. The developers admitted that this was a challenge, so hopefully this will be improved on. Really, that was the biggest weakness in an otherwise great game. Supposedly there will be a large number of brain levels which is welcome, as there weren't all that many in the original.
While they haven't revealed much in the way of brain levels to keep them a surprise, what they have shown so far is quite appealing visually. Yep, I'm psyched now.
