i thought the same too when i first played it, it contributed to me giving it up
oh my christ but the mage class is so damn op, im just blasting everything with my ice ray, very little effort, and the game just shits out quality loot all over the place.
this. this is what i love.
there is so much gear too, different types of gear pieces, tons of accessory gear like charms and rune type things, but also gear for your companion, which contributes to your magic find, which contributes to finding more gear.. its a nice little cycle
the cool thing is, i know the game is not 100% cakewalk, the higher levels and higher difficulty later will provide challenge.
i like this because its kind of like the best of both worlds. easy plowing but not for nothing because TONS OF CONTENT which includes future late game
the people who made this really know their stuff, which makes it that much more suprising being totally out of nowhere from nobodies
9/10 arpg here, folks
