there is also tons of quests and things to find and choices to make
its soooo much better with a good build giving you a proper flow of gear
jewish arpgs just dont do this
van helsing gives both reward (aka fun) and challenge in proper doses. fun first, challenge laster. absolutely proper this way
of course its not the only way to be proper, many other "great" arpgs have different formulas, a common one is being jewish from the start, but also finding other ways of supplementing this typically with really good damn asskicking, or just great quality mechanics/graphics/combat in general which make the effort worth it
van helsing has a lot sort of thrown together, but it totally comes into play with a proper build
