heres what i know about builds so far
melee is gay, it used to be gayer and they upgraded it to be good now, but melee is still gay. range is much cooler. its definitely better, a lot more dps, but im not sure how range will do in endgame
quality and quantity - loot quantity is better than loot quality..
ive pumped over 200 in quality (very very high number for level 50) and cant notice any difference.
loot quantity on the otherhand gives very noticeable results. especially if you pump it high with a complete set including bonus quantity on weapon
this wont get you super rare items, but it will get you a shit ton of gold, or "credits" which are actually useful in this game
