Well, all right, the lone survivor is a Brotherhood member if s/he's doing missions for Elder Maxson, but that doesn't explain the merchant guy's inventory. As for Martyr, why would a member of the Inquisition need money? Does he buy upgrades from vending machines on the ship? If so, why do they exist? Why would a money sink of any kind exist?
