Subject: Why throw chip at RTX 2070?

I don't understand the poo attitude about this card or its "Super" version. It seems to me that if you want something a little more comfortable with 1440p than the 2060 (and yes, I know the 2060 can do 1440p) and if don't necessarily want a 2080 (and certainly not a 2080 Ti), and if you don't want AMD (and you really don't want AMD), then I don't see the problem.

"Well, Sim, it's because ray tracing isn't a thing, so there's no legitimate reason for the 2070."

Oh. Then there's no reason for the 2080 either, is there? And the 2060 is stupidly expensive for what it is, so while we're faced with inflated pricing, why not go a little further and get a 2070?

Not that any of this matters because in the unlikely event I upgrade, I'll probably keep 1080p, which will leave more money for a 1600 watt power supply.
