There's usually very little reason to have vehicles in an FPS, but if you're going to put them in, they might as well be worth a shit.
On that note, Q4 had various vehicle sections which of course were completely linear, but I didn't hate them. Maybe because they weren't some huge departure from how the FPS segments played.
