Subject: RE: Microsoft buys Zenimax?

MS has already stated their end game is GamePass and software sales. They're not trying to make games exclusive to Xbox but rather make them available everywhere EXCEPT Sony. So it won't be on Steam, but you can subscribe to GamePass for $10 a month and get access to their entire libraries and exclusives on day 1 (on PC).

So you'd basically just need to find two $60 games a year you find interesting to make up for the price. Or cancel it once you've played what you want to play. Definitely not a model for everyone as I realize some people like the illusion of owning their digital software, but for someone like me it's perfect, as I end up hating 80% of the new games I buy and am ready to move on from them after 5 hours.
