The smaller screens are way better. I sold my N3DSXL for a N3DS, because I got tired of the size, weight and the fact that the screens look kind of shitty because it's the same resolution, but stretched to the larger screen size.
The regular N3DS is my favorite handheld.
Hack your 2DS and pirate away and also get an R4i Gold card and put all your DS Roms on it and you've got a 100% digital system that can play any games from any Nintendo handheld, plus a handful of home consoles.
