You can flirt with all three factions so to try to do as many quests as possible (thats what I did)
However, you wont open up real high armor and weapons to move the main story along until you pick one.
Typical game made by Gothic Devs, you are weak as shit to begin with and cant kill a fly. But if you stick it out you will be a badass.
