yeah the cool thing about hd dvds is that no console ever had its own exclusive line of movies before, not in any serious capacity.. well there was UMD but that was not a "home theater quality" or "pro" quality media
you can pretend that hd dvd exists outside of xbox but thats really not true
its an exclusive xbox thing in spirit, even though it was officially marketed as general consumer media, its really just like an exclusive xbox candy
the whole thing is totally fucking rad, hd dvd is motherfucking the most high-end "accessory" type thing ever released for any console in the history of earth
