Maybe th4t1guy is right and you should get the dancing water speakers.
If you want rumbling bass, then you're going to need a sub unless you have large floor standing speakers. Even my 8" 200 watt Events didn't produce theatre-like bass. I think most home audio subs have built-in amps, so you don't need your speaker amp to power them. They're also likely to have a built-in low pass filter, so you don't necessarily need your amp to have crossover circuitry. It's more important to have a crossover built in your full range speakers, that way frequencies aren't sent to a speaker that it has no hope of producing (like low frequencies sent to a tweeter, or high freqs sent to a woofer). If you're going to use your PC's sound card, then you don't need a DAC, which will either save you money, or enable you to get a better quality analog-only amp.
For under $300, you'll be able to get a setup that either sounds good, or has rumbling bass. Choose one. I'd go with the former, and if I found the bass wasn't sufficient, eventually buy a sub.
