i have to rant
down here, at least, we get these fucking sick abomination of fucking grapes sold in supermarkets. they are huge, there is no doubt they are genetically modified. they look like fucking mutants. it is noticably gross, and not visually appealing at all. but apparently nobody has enough common sense to not sell this shit? its very sad what they have done to such a great food. this state is filled with mexicans who will eat fucking anything.
but perhaps the dumbest thing of all, is taking such a luxurious gift to mankind and making wine out of it. this is even more insulting and perverse. the vast majority of grape production here on earth is to make them rot into fucking micro bug food so you can literally drink their shit.
so fucking criminal.
grapes are straight up food. bountiful amazing food that just assembles from nothing and pops up all this food out of nowhere.
but did you guys know that the united states is the native home to many varieties of edible grape? even grapes that resemble the common european grape from antiquity. many native species here have grown large edible berries. its not common for any wild foods to produce this way with any species, the grape is certainly unique in this sense. i highly doubt the indians cultivated them in any meaningful way though.
