I really only got the tweezers to replace smd caps, which are a huge all-around pain in the ass. I know some people will use hot air on these things, but I'd rather not cook any irreplaceable chips and electrolytic caps can sometimes pop under hot air.
Anything else I'd just use a normal iron on. If I had to remove a lot of stuff, I'd probably just use chipquik instead of cooking it.
