Subject: RE: Definitely wait on Cyberpunk

Similarly to Obsidian games, I'm totally conflicted about Cyberpunk. I miraculously had almost two hours to myself this afternoon, so I decided to sit down and play. I did end-up switching over to Medium settings and got around 30FPS, sometimes as high as 45, other times as low as maybe 26, but it felt completely playable.

At any rate, I had a great deal of fun during this play session and I'm really reconsidering refunding it (GoG has a 30-day policy).

As for the 970: It just hasn't been a priority upgrade. I very rarely use my gaming machine anymore and when I do, it runs everything great at 1080p; though I sometimes I have to turn down Shadows. The only problem I had recently was my CPU was bottlenecking, so I upgraded from a fourth gen i3 to the Ryzen 5, as it was pretty cheap.

Which is actually the issue with GPUs: Lack of good upgrade options that are affordable. Prior to the new 3000 Series Nvidia cards, I was looking at a 1660 Super, as it was something like a 40% performance increase over the 970, but decided against it, because again, I rarely use my gaming machine. Pretty much all my gaming these days is on my laptop with integrated graphics, my 3DS or my Vita. I'd love to get a 3060 Ti when they're available, but at the same time, I have a hard time justifying $400 for it when I could spend that money on my other hobbies.
