oh wait, supposedly your new pcb was DOA.. not sure whats up with that. only nintendo makes those, and you likely got a used part
its probably best to just order a new 3DS XL directly from nintendo at this point.
technically its refurbished but its likely just rebranded new unsold stock. in either case, only the pcb is supposedly reused in reburbished models, meaning the screen and all the buttons are totally brand new. though im sure the refurb XL system i own is totally new.
if you have never seen the 3D effect on the latest model 3DS then you are missing out. that alone is totally worth it, and much better than previous models
