Subject: RE: Bannerlord ist goot

The problem with mages in general in DS1 is that they need to be really high level for the spells to work well. This seems to be a weird disconnect between design and gameplay. Nature mages can do healing well enough, but their offensive capability is too far behind. Combat mages can do fair damage by the end of the first playthrough, but they never get where they need to be by the end of the campaign unless they're NPCs you pick up late-game. The developers seem to have re-thought all this for DS2, where both offensive and corrosive magic better coincide with campaign progress. Then, of course, you have the later difficulties, but I don't know how all that works.
