i did run it through DxWnD and it did work flawlessly even without disabling the complex shadows in game
but the config sets the game to windowed mode and changing it to fullscreen messes things up when you alt tab out of the game.
the mouse never comes back to work properly after that.
though fullscreen does properly work in DxWnD
