ok healing is understated
it prevents other party members from drinking pots
which prevents them from pausing to drink
this alone contributes more dps than any single party member. just one dude pausing to drink will break the chain of battle where eliminating enemies as fast as possible is critical to eliminating more enemies. like a domino effect or something.. whatever
autocast for healing works just fine too
and wtf is up with the difficulty of this game. soon as you leave the first village after recruiting new party members, suddenly the enemies are all serious and shit. they were a total cakewalk before this.
also wtf, just barely was able to afford to recruit all 3 at the village. the only thing which allowed me to do it was a chance drop of some armor piece worth 455 gold which gave me just enough to afford the final party member. and you definitely need them all.
not sure what this game expects you to do if you cant afford them. maybe backtrack 20 mins when you finally get enough coin? that one chance drop was so huge compared to how shitty the mony and item drops are all throughout these areas even beyond the village
