the "interconnected" aspect is huge
and it all has a purpose relating to combat with high level creatures as sort of an endgame. the game is also developed with strict focus on multiplayer, so it takes some more mods to tweek settings for solo play. mainly for doing enough damage to high level enemies (meant to be fought by large groups), but other mods are needed too
