RE: Yup, Gameboy screen is awful
Received the Gameboy Color today and I'm amazed at how much better it is than the Pocket. It has more weight to it, so it feels significantly sturdier and much less cheap. As well the screen, in spite of not being backlit, is so much easier to see, as well as having little to no ghosting,as the Pocket screen does.
Eventually going to upgrade this one with a new screen and the machined aluminum shell and buttons from BoxyPixel, but that shit is expensive, so it'll have to wait.
But between all this and the fact that the best homebrew is for GBC, I'm mildly regretting the decision to mod the Pocket first, even though I've been lusting after it for ages now.
