wonder bread
they totally screwed this up
the formula changed a while back, then was brought back to some earlier formula probably from the 30s after it was re bought by some other company.
the problem is this formula was not as good as how it used to be.
back in the 80s and probably all the way up into the early 2000s, wonderbread was at peak formula.
it was so soft and unnatural feeling, though not in a bad way. not at all
yeah, 80s and 90s were definitely peak formula for wonderbread, and its a shame this will never return, as its a highly processed product with a complex and strict production method that you cannot reproduce with other breads
