Their factory is here next to Kansas City. Hostess (their parent company) went bankrupt a few years ago and they got picked up by someone else. I've toured their factory and they will hand you sample of white bread right off the assembly line. It tastes nothing like what you buy in the store. By the time you can buy it in a store, even locally, it's already 1-2 weeks old.
