RE: State of graphics cards indefinitely
As it turns out, auto manufacturers and their suppliers are halting or reducing output due to IC shortages. When car sales slumped in 2020, fab houses (largely taken to mean TSMC) instead shifted capacity elsewhere. Now that there's a bit of a rebound, they can't get the chips they need. This is the new reality of stupid expensive cutting edge IC tooling and only one fab house that offers it.
