Important Alert 2
Today is Lana Turner day on TCM. That makes today a big day among days.
Everyone should see two of Lana's movies, if for no other reason than to be well informed about great cinema.
The first is
Johnny Eager
. Lana is very good in this one, but it really should be seen as an excellent Robert Taylor vehicle.
The second may be Lana's best movie:
The Postman Always Rings Twice
. Everybody is very good in this -- sterling cast, excellent writing, pro direction. A must-see for noir fans. Also, Lana plays a hubba hubba femme fatale.
