i enjoyed "the heiress" very much
olivia is very pleasant to watch
and as ive said before, im particularly fond of well mannered well spoken people and period pieces.
but this film is sort of over saturated with mannerisms, its a bit overdone but also just doesnt feel organic, though i cant exactly place it on a fault of any of the actors directly. kind of hard to explain.
but also, i get the sense that the overkill may actually be sort of an inderect mockery of the period, even though the film is not a comedy at all. i feel there may be a slight possibility this may be intentional. at least i was amused by it
overall great film, the end, or the final quarter was best and well worth the time in watching the entire thing.
i noticed oliva's filmography page on wikipedia,
it seems like she only does quality films. very classy lady. very good quality actress.
