Election cycle is only a small part of it. There were also over 2 million first-time gun owners last year, production shortage from the pandemic, natural resource shortage, non-stop riots, and Biden running around saying he's going to ban online sales and make everyone pay a $200 tax for each non-california compliant magazine. Add that to the fact that the fed has nearly doubled the amount of money in circulation in the last year, the prices are not only ridiculous, but likely never coming back down either.
