I find the avoidance of stereotypes often takes me out of the media. For example, in Cobra Kai season 2, all of the white kids got into a giant karate brawl when in reality that event would have ended in a mass shooting. Am I to believe teenagers suddenly prioritized months of rigorous training over ending a fight immediately with a bullet? YEAH RIGHT, DANNYO SAN!
