There's a lot wrong with it. For one thing, it's clearly a console game, first and foremost. As with some parts of 2016, they go out of their way to use unnecessary console conventions. Getting rid of this crap would have resulted in a more mature and more playable production.
Some people would list all the platforming and trapezing as console-centered, and I would not disagree. I also think it was wedged in unnecessarily, along with the almost unusable UI and the mad circus of achievements and unlockables.
In spite of all this, the combat, while fiddly and sometimes frustrating, is an elevation of the FPS genre. The engine and art assets are also impressive, imo.
