Doom Eternal is great and you're objectively bad at life if you disagree.
I think the chef's kiss is the fact that they inserted so much platforming into a FPS. At first I couldn't figure out why I was enjoying it (as I hate 90% of FPS games these days) and I realized air dashing around from platform to platform like a mad man while frantically searching for health or ammo is actually very well done.
That said, it does get repetitive after a short while which isn't that big of a negative given that the level design is broken up in a way where you can easily consume it in small chunks of play.
