RE: gpu shortage
The plague = more people working at home and upgrading, buying, building computers. Also, an allegedly unprecedented interest in PC gaming.
Cryptominers order GPUs by the boxcar load; GPU mfrs happily sell them.
On top of all this, there's a global chip shortage. Every industry -- cars, appliances, etc. -- is affected.
