Hm.
Neo-noir is basically every drama made in the last fifteen years with an R rating, grimdark characters, and narration.
Too broad. Except for the release date, this definition fits
Underworld
. Jaime's description is better. You should probably have detectives in neo-noir.
Gone Baby Gone
would sort of fit if you can overlook Casey Affleck. He's not inappropriate for this example, but he always needs overlooking, like laundry that smells a little funny or a fly in an excellent soup.
