Subject: RE: Project ZOmboid

I assume you went straight for the beta branch? The game doesn't make it explicitly clear that the stable version is over a year old now and very outdated. The one problem with b41 is that net multiplayer isn't implemented yet, which Indie Stone is working on but knowing them, will take about seven years to complete.

Early water cutoff isn't too bad, just leave a crapload of pots lying around outside and wait for it to rain, or go to a river. Early power cutoff is tough, where if you didn't have some fuel stockpiled, you're thrown into the classic "You need fuel to power the generator to power the fuel pumps to get the fuel" cycle. Getting them both early just means you get thrown into the end-game when all you have to defend yourself is a butter knife and your armor consists of nothing but a pair of socks.

I've been playing the same character since b41 came out last october, I haven't checked lately but it's about 3.5 in-game years later, on a 4 real hour day cycle. The situation is such that her one and only concern these days is finding the exact light red cropped tank top that goes with the pair of red chucks on one of her many fashionable mannequins.

Everytime I play Zomboid, it makes me go "Man, I wish Zomboid was as deep as Cataclysm: DDA", then I'll go play CDDA and think "Man, I wish CDDA looked as nice as Zomboid does."
