Nah fam. Earthbound obviously isn't going to fulfill your multiplayer itch but it's IMO one of the best single player gaming experiences you can have. I replayed it a few years back just to see if I was blinded by false memories or nostalgia, and ended up loving it just the same despite having forgotten about 90% of the weird Japanese take on Western culture.
Somehow it simultaneously combines that feeling of growing up in a suburb in the 80s with a fever dream full of memes and piles of vomit that try to kill you. Also you get to fight an entire circus tent.
