RE: newish car update yay
Autocrossing and track driving is a lot more sensible than being an idiot on the road. I enjoy driving, and am perfectly ready to take the potential consequences associated with my actions. Yeah, I would hate to potentially ruin my car, but luckily it's been made somewhat more reasonable by the relatively small amount the car cost me.
Autocrossing is actually pretty safe as it typically takes place in large parking lots with a track drawn out by cones. The worst that might happen is a bang up my bumper a bit slamming into a cone. But at any rate, the speeds are kept to reasonable levels.
Track driving is a bit different, but usually if you go off the road, it's only into grass. To me, it would be great fun - so the pros out weigh the cons.
