RE: Outer Worlds impressions so far
As I was playing Outer Worlds last night, I happened to notice that plasma carbines have a charge-up. Maybe shock weapons have this too. I don't know.
Anyway, I targeted a ringleader marauder, an enemy that would normally take several shots to defeat. The charge-up killed him with one shot. Also, I watched my ammo count and did not see a significant down tick. Unless I'm mistaken, a charged shot uses exactly the same amount of ammo as a non-charged shot.
This is like those stupid Minute Men cranky energy rifles in Fallout 4, only much better.
Also, did you know that the first Fallout was made because Interplay couldn't get the license for a Wasteland game?
Also, did you know that a maxed 2-shot gauss rifle with maxed ranged perks will literally explode a super mutant warlord? Of course you have to have the Bloody Mess perk, which I don't really like, except for exploding super mutant warlords, which never stops being funny.
