RE: Been watching through a lot of "What Happened?
In a spirit of full disclosure, I faintly remember trying to defend it when it came out. Probably Stockholm Syndrome or a Jay Wilson Jedi mind trick.
Then there are the strange cases of Shogo and No One Lives Forever. Shogo wasn't bad except for the awful NPC art. NOLF was something quite different. It had lots of Deus Ex influence, which was not a bad thing, but it showed that Monolith could make a decent game. At least I thought it was decent. Actually, I liked NOLF 2 better.
