Subject: RE: burbank

Objectively speaking, if you're just grading it based on the weather and easy ocean access, it is one of the best states from a land perspective. But it's all the people and policies that actually make it one of the worst states to live. I have to know roughly 20 to 25 people and friends who live in the LA, Silver Lake, and Burbank areas and it's all the same story. They make money that could easily allow them to live comfortably anywhere else but instead are broke, living in apartments, or sharing rental houses as the idea of owning land and property out that way drifts further and further away.

Granted, living in the here and now and enjoying a great social network of friends with lots of trendy places to go is basically what they're forced to do because as soon as you start thinking about 5 years into the future it causes everyone to have an existential crisis. But again, if you're content being in your 40s while dressing and talking like a 20 year old, then it's a great state. Who cares if literally the rest of the world sees you as a complete failure of a human being.
