Subject: Another terrible person question

Do you think I would be a terrible person if I bought The Elder Scrolls Online?

Zenimax appears to have made many improvements since the thing first came out. I sometimes watch youtube playthroughs, and from what I can tell, it looks like a competent and well-supported MMO. I can't see that unusual about it, but I've noticed that the quest designs are quite tolerable and the world-building is interesting. I was especially impressed by the Morrowind expansion. They went to a lot of trouble to reproduce Vvardenfell as it would have appeared in 2E 583. Balmora and the other towns are very recognizable (with much better detail, etc.), but there are subtle differences that clearly point to historical detail rather than design whims. Everything is carefully constructed to remind the player of the island in 3E 427, but equal care has been given to how the second eruption of Red Mountain in 2E 582 would have changed the landscape.

Anyway, other than that, it looks like a typical MMO with the usual dance emotes and lvl 87732 players running around on their cash shop mounts. I think I could ignore that and maybe get into it for a month or so to see how things go.

Zenimax is really incentivizing people to pay by the month. The rewards for doing so far outclass merely paying retail.

If possible, I would like to start out as a khajiit traveling merchant, like the ones in Skyrim. Their conversations are entertaining.
