Sad thing: Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is pooh according to reviews and 66% of players on Steam -- broken, undercooked console trash that licenses the interesting Companions of the Hall characters and wastes them.
This makes it harder for a competent developer to fund a proper new Icewind Dale game, though they would probably consolize it too. Imagine what could be done with Forgotten Realms as a PC exclusive, and no, I'm not talking about the old Black Isle things. It could be a grand, dire cinematic adventure with peril and romance everywhere. In a console game, you just derp down a road till you get to a round arena and roll around in the dirt while shooting some flashing light on a boss's armor.
