see he could have also chosen a better woman.
joans foot is a little clobbered, probably from whatever shoes she used to wear
but her feet were actually cute in a stubby kind of way. they were passable as actual womens feet and thats all which really matters
though he could have chosen better.
but its obviously understandable why he chose her. there a various reasons for it, its partly because of "film chemistry" and partly because of personal friendship
