just so you know...
the term "fag" was an old timey derogatory word, but not used with the meaning of homosexual
there is also a good pre code film where edward g robbinson calls people a bunch of fags. its definitely used in a derogatory sense exactly as we would today, just without the homosexual meaning. the scene is completely classic, and is the only use of the term i have seen yet. probably the only use for any film.
its really the best thing i have yet to see. i was floored.
the movie is called "the little giant" from 1933
of course eddy-G plays a chicago millionaire gangster, and its one of those good warner bros films of him. total classic.
its common for the characters he plays to make use of all kinds of silly terms which would have been common for rough type people.
