Subject: RE: spartacus, spartacus

scenes can be very misleading because they carry a lot of momentum. it takes a certain type of perception to be able to process each scene raw, but also simultaneously considering the overall presentation like most viewers do.

the scenes with curtis and oliver were pure masterclass cinema.
curtis makes a great roman.
its also one of the moments where acting and set really come together.
the accuracy of the set is truly unbelievable. its really as if it were designed by someone who actually remembered what all of ancient rome looked like when it was brand new and also had the artistic talent to express it with accuracy.
this is something which i would definitely not consider to be common.
every little detail is just right. there are really so many variables to list. for example the exact color of the ffoor tiles or mosiacs. its just the right sheen and right tone of earthen colors. its such a precise thing to get right.
really amazing
