one that i missed
baby face (1933)
its stanwyks best film too. i suppose i did save the best for last.
its not really the fact that stanwyck plays a total slut, as in a literal tramp or prostitute, trampin her way to the top,
no its not this, but its the fact the film is actually good.
really damn good.
this is WB at its finest, and i cant believe how early of a title this is. it does show its age, but it also does so many things right, also with many firsts on the scene in terms of production or story or cinematography.
stanwyk is undoubtedly the best female actress. no doubt. i cant believe how she is not officially regarded this way.
anyway the film is appropriately rated on imdb, i believe at 7.4, though other films she has are rated higher. but i would still consider this one to be her best. easily.
total and absolute WB classic
