RE: ranking the golden age studios
ive also grown quite fond of burt lancaster.
the initial films ive seen of him have been sort of forgettable. but ive come to realize that hes been sort of used as a precision guided missile, strategically injected in various films during a certain period.
his personal character is what seems to interest me the most. i wouldnt necessarily rank is performance as an actor, but hes definitely a real guy.
grown up as a street kid in the big city like me. though totally different scenarios, obviously. he is a bit different than most other actors. its something pleasant to witness. though i cant really describe it
