RE: fallout 3 is immensely underrated
FO3 was the first of it's kind so in a way it was like the Mario 64 or Sonic Pinball of the series. Unfortunately the formula got stale for me shortly after but there's a few moments in gaming that stick with you like the first time you walk out of Vault 101.
I don't know that I'd call it "underrated" though since it's pretty much universally agreed upon to be a great game.
