Point Blank, though, is interesting for its abject brutality. Bullitt with Steve McQueen was the same way. They were classier precursors to the overrated Sam Peckinpah stuff in the late '60s and early '70s. Peckinpah didn't do anything good until The Osterman Weekend in the early '80s.
